2007 Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto Utility ATV review

A friend bought a new ATV recently and asked me to pop by for a quick ride on the new ATV, so, of course I obliged. Apparently, my friend’s wife was taken with the 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 350 Automatic. Now, my friend’s wife is an awesome rider, so, my question was why didn’t she choose something bigger, stronger, and faster? As soon as I got the chance to sit on the Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto, I knew the answer.

There are two things about the 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto that I am very well-pleased with. One, economy. Two, stability. These are two very important parts of an ATV, so, Yamaha 2007 350 Grizzly has got that down pat!

Bear in mind that the Yamaha Grizzly that we’re talking about is a brand new one. Taking a look at the brochure they brought home with them, I saw that it had all the important features and had a smaller price tag than some of the others they saw. At the point of writing this ATV review, the Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto goes for about 5 grand. Now, don’t be surprised with the power this Yamaha Grizzly can pack even though it has a 350 engine…it’s one of the best 350 ATVs that I have ever tested although I wouldn’t say it’s GREAT! But in the 350 ATV range, it’s one of the best, I maintain.

If you take the Yamaha Grizzly 350 up a steep slope, it might lose a bit of its power in the middle and you need to apply full throttle for this one. But the whole point is that this 350 Yamaha Grizzly will bring you there…not as fast as other ATVs can but it will reach there even with a small engine. Without a smidgen of doubt, I know this ATV will take you anywhere else on level ground without a problem. There’s no worry about that but don’t compare the Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto with bigger machines or meaner ATVs within the Grizzly range…or non-Yamahas, even. The comparison would be plain unfair. As far as I can see, the Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto is made for the average rider with medium to good ATV riding skills. It provides a lot of power and stability for an ATV its size. And more importantly, it’s comfortable to ride. It doesn’t bounce the ATV rider around like a yo-yo when going through tough terrain and provides lots of torque.

As mentioned, the cost is another attractive feature. It doesn’t bust a budget or break your bank account to get one and more importantly, the machine packs power without gulping up gas like your father owns a gas station! I think that the Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto ATV will take ages to finish a whole tank of gas. Compared to my ATV, I think this baby will go three times the distance! So, Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto is big on saving fuel.

There’s one minor little issue that you might want to concern yourself about and that is overheating of the oil! Perhaps this Yamaha Grizzly 350 is unique but we needed to add an aftermarket fan to keep the radiator from boiling over.

So, if you’re looking for a new ATV to roam the yard, ride the trails or practice your ATV riding skills, I think the Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto 2007 model is big on the bang! Smooth enough, big enough, sturdy enough, saves on fuel, won’t bust a budget….what else can you ask for?
