ATV clubs in Colorado Updated: Tuesday, 20 March 2007
Colorado is blessed with many wonderfully challenging trails for ATV buffs and also relatively easy ATV trails for beginners to practice on and because of its natural richness in available ATVing places and the support from the government, ATV riding is at an all time high over there. As the number of ATV riders continues to rise over there, the number of ATV-related deaths and injuries is also dipping. If you've ever been ATVing in Colorado , you'll know there are many clubs in Colorado made available to ATV riders and racers from all over the country. It makes sense to join at least a few of them so that you can keep yourself updated with their activities and take them on every once in a while.

And to make your life a little easier, we've painstakingly gone through the list and came up with the final few that we think you'll love joining.

Colorado Quad Runners
The Colorado Quad Runners is a highly ranked and extremely popular ATV club in Colorado ! If you've been riding ATV in Colorado , it's quite impossible for you not to have, at least heard of them once. The most important thing about the Colorado Quad Runners is that they make almost all of their activities kids-friendly and if they suddenly had the urge to go on a wilder adventure, they'd make sure there are things that the less experience quad riders to do besides waiting and eating. Based in Denver , Colorado , the Colorado Quad Runners support organizations like COHVCI, ATVA and Blue Ribbon. Every month, they'll meet up and discuss on potential educational programs that they can organize, plan campouts, events, workshops and most importantly, RIDES!

The Royal George ATV Club
The Royal Gorge ATV Club is extremely active in planning activities – in fact, they're so active that they organize rides twice a month! All their ATV activities are fun for both adults and kids. The important thing to note here is that they are volunteers in helping promote safety by doing work with BLM and Colorado State Forest Service. This says a lot about how committed they are to the course of encouraging safety among ATV riders…especially the younger and less experienced ones. Although the Royal Gorge ATV Club is located in Penrose , Colorado , they have members from all over the state and country, so, don't be shy, call them, email them or visit their website to find out more information about the Royal Gorge ATV Club.

Mile High Trail Riders
So, you don't want to pay to be in an ATV club in Colorado ? Well, you've just found one. For now, there's no annual fees to be paid to join the Mile High Trail Riders Club, so, if you're keen to join one for free, hurry on up to their website and check them out. But of course, being free is not the only plus point for the Mile High Trail Riders because they are one of the most innovative bunch of ATV fans in Colorado . They actively promote, not only ATV riding, but also motorcycling. You won't find dowdy issues being discussed in their monthly meets held on every 4 th Tuesday of the month – and since you know now, it's OK if you just pop on by for one of their meetings for a surprise visit. The great thing is that Mile High Trail Riders don't just focus on organizing campouts, rides and day rides within Colorado, they go beyond that and try to get people to participate in their activities in other states as well! Although the number of club members is slowly building up, we dare say that the Mile High Trail Riders will, one day, become one of the most established ATV clubs in Colorado .

Western Slope ATV Association
If you're the kind who loves overnight ATV riding trips or camping, this is the club made just for you! The Western Slope ATV Association is a group of people comprising of (at last count) over 200 members in it. To the club, how good and how fast you are is not important…the most important thing is that you're willing to learn and want to have some fun with other ATV riders. And if you are, you can give them a call and attend one of their meetings which are held on the 3 rd Wednesday of every month. The club is very active because they try to organize an activity at least once a week during the weekends – say goodbye to boring weekends! $20 per family is NOTHING compared to the kind of fun we suspect you'll be having when you join up with them.
