Ogling the new 2008 ATVs to buy or not to buy?

Ogling the new 2008 ATVs – to buy or not to buy?

Some people change their ATVs every other month. Some people get a new replacement ATV every other week. Some have been using the same old ATV for the past 8 years. How many times have you purchased a new ATV and have you thought about why? Is it because you saw something new or was it because someone made an awful comment about your existing ATV? What about the kids? When was the last time they had a new ATV? Was the change necessary? Was the new ATV bought because they outgrew it or because they saw something funkier in the ATV store?

I’ve been riding the same ATV for the past 3 years and the reason why I’ve not bought a new ATV is because this one fits perfectly great for me. it took me a long time trying to adjust myself and the ATV for the perfect partnership. For me, I want to keep that bond. To get a new replacement ATV would make me feel like ditching my wife for a younger, newer, sexier girlfriend. Hhhhmmm….

Anyway, the reason why I am blogging about this is because (apart from the fact that I am paid to, I mean) I’ve been looking at some new releases due out next year and my heart’s leaning towards getting a new one. I really like the Can-Am DS450 because someone told me really fantastic things about this ATV. I don’t mind getting a Kawasaki KFX450R either, actually. But I am many more steps toward buying a new ATV. It’s puzzling why I would feel like I am betraying a loved one. But in all honesty, I need a backup ATV. I can’t remember the number of times a friend hopped over to my place asking me to loan him my ATV and I miss my wife. Of course, I am not going to get a new ATV just because my friend refuses to get himself a spare but….I need a backup as well. If not to fill in the empty spot in my garage, I would like to adjust the new ATV for emergencies as well.

So, if your existing ATV is getting old, it could be time for you to look into buying a new ATV. Many people, not surprisingly, don’t mind paying for a new model just because they think it’s funky. I am talking about people with a lot of cash stashed up in their bank account, of course. And these ATV enthusiasts are really into the ATV modifying scene. They would get a new ATV, take the whole vehicle apart, go online, purchase ATV parts and just spend weeks and months just putting it all together again. The result, I have to say, impresses the socks off of me!

Another reason to buy a new ATV is when you’ve outgrown the existing one. this is particularly common for kids because kids not only outgrow their ATVs mentally but they physically grow overnight every night. So, when the kid begins to get good and comfortable for his or her ATV, you’ll see that the height isn’t right anymore or the kid’s a couple of pounds too heavy for the ATV. Maybe you’d want to consider buying a new ATV and modify it for different terrains. I agree that it can get cumbersome when we have to consistently change the parts and tires of the ATV to suit the terrain. If that is the case and you’re an avid ATV rider, you will save yourself a lot of headache by investing in a new ATV just to accommodate to a completely different type of trail.

Whatever it is, do it as long as it fits your budget and you think it justifies the purchase. In the meantime, let do continue ogling the new ATVs in the market today. This is what I call ‘window-shopping’!
