This trail is one of many that loops with a network of others that form the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. It is about 0.6 miles in length and is part of the 19 miles of trails that form the South Pedlar ATV Trail System.
This particular trail system is open for ATVs with 4-wheel, 3-wheelers are not permitted. This trail has all that you are looking for when it comes to riding your ATV. It is full of twisting, curving roads, with the rough terrain that so many ATVers are looking to experience.
The view in this area can be breathtaking, especially in the Fall and Spring. So make sure you stop and smell the roses,or in this case wildflowers. Take a lunch, park your ATV, and enjoy all that nature holds for your eyes to see on these ATV trails.
There is a $5 parking fee for your ATV trailer, some parking areas have a self serve place in which to park.
Safety is a top priority out on the ATV trails. It is a law, you must wear a helmet when operating your ATV at all times. There are other attire that is not a part of the law, but is just good common sense, The use of gloves, wearing goggles and boots, are all important and can save you from unnecessary scratches and abrasions during your ATV ride from debris and limbs.
