This trail is great for ATV's as well as other off the road vehicles. The length of this trail is 6.5 miles, has an elevation of 6500 ft to the low end and 5040 ft. at the highest. For ATV riding, the trail is open from April to November.
Even though this ATV trail has been marked as a trail even a novice could conquer, safety has to be the most important element in the sport of ATVing.
First thing is to make sure you do a complete systems check on your ATV. The brakes, the tires, and the whole machine must be in top shape.
Tell someone where you are going and when you will be back. Along with a cell phone, this is the best thing to do in case something happens.
Always wear the right equipment when ATVing. That would include a helmet, gloves, goggles, and boots. If you don't have a suit specifically made for ATVing, then a long sleeve shirt and long pants will do just fine.
So use your head, watch what is going on around you, and don't speed, and your ride down the ATV trail will be great.
