The Red Dot ATV Trail is a great place to fly with your ATV and you at the helm. If you are looking for a thrill and some great riding moves, then this is the place to be.
This trail, the Red Dot for ATV's, is located in the northeastern part of Minnesota. This ATV trail connects Beaver Bay and Silver Bay, which in turn, runs right into another ATV trail. From Beaver Bay, it is on the north side of Highway 4, 1/2 mile west of Highway 61. From Silver Bay, off Highway 5 on the west side of town. Red Dot is about 26 miles and is open from May 15 to November 30, weather permitting.
This is a wonderful place to enjoy the sport of ATVing. It offers the ATVer, slopes, rough terrain, water runoffs and loads of mud, after a rain. You can even camp over the weekend here with all of your ATV buddies.
While out riding with your buds, make sure you stay on the ATV trails and don't cause harm to the landscape of the land. This is one of the complaints people have about ATV's. Also, pay attention to what is going on around you, especially if riding these ATV trails in the early morning or early evening hours, you might encounter wildlife dashing past.
To make sure you have a nice ride, make sure you do a complete system check on the ATV. The oil, plugs, and even the tires should be checked. If you are a novice, taking a training course you benefit you tremendously for riding these ATV trails. Carry your cell phone, a map or GPS, and always ride with a buddy. There is gas, food and lodging available in nearby Silver Leaf in case you want to make this ATV run an overnighter.
