Hahn's Peak Trail System is as close to ATV riding heaven as you're going to find on earth. There are impressive mountains, forests of aspen and pine, meadows and fields, lakes and streams to ford on your ATV.
Hahn's Peak is a great place to hit the trails on your ATV. This is one of the most scenic rides you'll have on your ATV, the view from Farwell Mountain is accessed by a winding ATV trail and then you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of Steamboat Lake which is surrounded with snow-capped mountains further out and tree covered mountains just surrounding the area.
Once you've ridden your ATV to the top of the mountain, you'll be see a lot of snow, no matter what time of year you are riding these ATV trails and if you look below, you will see a green, snowless meadow.
The Hahn's Peak Trail System also goes into Wyoming and if you're feeling up for it, you can visit two states on one ATV ride! The entire ATV trail system is just over 300 square miles, so you have a lot of area to cover on your ATV.
The ATV trails themselves are easy to navigate and well marked so even the newest and most inexperienced of ATVers will have a great time on these trails.
Please be aware that Colorado law requires that Colorado residents must register their ATVs with the Colorado Department of Parks and Outdoor Recreation prior to riding their ATVs in this area. If you're an out-of-towner who has come in to ride your ATV on these trails, you don't need to do anything if your ATV is registered in your home state, if you're not registered in your home state, you will be required to register as if you were a Colorado resident.
