Shoals ATV Riders is a family oriented ATV club with members from all over the South.
This club was inspired by a tiny ATV enthusiast named Kelley Whitehead, who passed away due to an inoperable brain tumor. She had expressed a wish for a 4-wheeler and a trip to Disney World. Her dad bought the ATV, and Make-A-Wish Foundation provided the Disney trip. After her passing, her dad, Butch, continued riding ATVs and eventually founded Shoals ATV Riders in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
The club has a very strong attachment with Make-A-Wish, and the WishICould Foundation, organizing fund raiser rides to support these worthy groups. Currently over 156 ATV enthusiast families are registered members.
Shoals ATV Riders also promotes fun but responsible ATV adventuring by adhering to the concepts of the Treadlightly Organization. The goal of Treadlightly is to preserve the land and therefore ATV enthusiasts' rights to ride it through environmentally sound practices. Check out their tips and guidelines at: https://www.treadlightly.org/.
