The Massachusetts ATV Association, headquartered in Kingston, was founded as many clubs are; to promote safety and responsibility within the ATV sport in order ensure it's future. The club adheres to the following goals:
* Strive to establish a good working relationship with the state authorities who govern the use of public lands by ATV enthusiasts.
* To use the trails in an responsible and environmentally sound manner, with the goal of expanding legal riding areas.
* Work with authorities to resolve public safety issues.
* Promote the formation of ATV clubs in order to educate riders about safety issues, and lend a positive image to the sport.
* Work cooperatively with other clubs and organizations toward a common goal of enhancing the ATV sport.
* Promote a positive relationship between ATV vendors and customers.
* Hold ATV riding events to advance the sport in a positive light.
The club has a unique opportunity before them; to have their own ATV trail system. A small section of the Georgetown-Rowley State Forest that has been used for ATVing is now threatened with closure. If the club can put together enough volunteers to do all the trail work that this area needs, the parks system would be willing to let them take it over.
Now is the perfect time to join the Massachusetts ATV Association and lend a hand to keep this beautiful section of trails open to the public. If you think you would be interested in acquiring a new group of friends who share your love for off road adventuring, you can contact the club through their website at: https://www.massatv.org/.
Here's your chance to make a difference and have a positive impact on your sport.
