Cheaha Trail Riders ATV Club

The Cheahha Trail Riders Club was founded by a small group of men and women who were concerned about securing the future of ATV riding in Alabama's National Forests.

Spurred into action when the U.S. Forest service closed the National Forest to all ATV's, Cheaha Trail Riders worked to form an active partnership with the forestry division to cleanup and repair the existing ATV trails and educate ATV enthusiasts about the necessity to respect the environment in order to preserve the right to ride there.

Cheaha ATV enthusiasts also sponsor several yearly events. Together with the Shoals ATV Riders they sponsored the Make-A-Wish Charity Benefit and Family Fun Weekend which raised over $1200 for Make-A-Wish.

Their annual Volunteer Clean Up Day brought together ATV clubs all over Alabama to make improvements to the ATV trail in Minooka Park. ATVer's raked trails, cut away brush and bagged up trash while also getting the opportunity to get to know the park and see the value in preserving it.

Cheaha Trail Riders Club maintains a very informative and up to date website to keep club members and other ATV enthusiasts in touch with all the club's activities and events, as well as current info on the parks and trails.

Any ATV rider who cares about conservation and respect for the land just as much as they care about having a good time riding the ATV trails may find this is just the club for them. Check out their website at: https://www.cheahatrailriders.com/

Another good source of terrain conservation information is available at the Treadlightly site, https://www.treadlightly.org. Learn how you can help and happy trails and good ATV riding to you and yours!
