The Dodgeton ATV Trail can be found in South Central Colorado, about twelve miles south of La Veta. This 3.5 mile long ATV trail is operated by the San Isabel National Forest and is home to ATVing activities as well as biking, hiking, horseback riding, motorcycle riding and more.The Dodgeton ATV Trail begins at the trail head of Spring Creek, which contains restroom facilities as well as a parking lot. The trail is of moderate difficulty, offering up a slight challenge for the beginning ATV rider, but it should be a piece of cake for more experienced riders. You will have to cross Dodgeton Stream drainage at two points in the trail, which is the most challenging aspect of this ATV trail. But as previously stated, this should be a rather easy trail for experienced ATV enthusiasts.
If 3.5 miles just isn't long enough for you, the Dodgeton ATV Trail joins with the Indian Creek, Baker, and Shortcut trails at various points to offer you further terrain to explore. You will be able to loop the routes with these trails while riding your ATV, so finding your way back to the trailhead should not be a problem.
