If you're looking for a good getaway to go ride your ATV with your family and friends, Western PA has a fun place called The Four Seasons Resort that offers up a great day of riding for you and your friends.
They do have some rules and regs to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time. They require that you wear your safety equipment at all times when riding your ATV on the premises.
There are maps available of the latest trail openings for ATV riding and periodically, certain ATV trails are closed off to allow the vegetation to reclaim itself. This insures there are always fresh trails and the ground is never eroded to the point it can not recover.
If you have a young person under the age of 14 in your ATV group, they must be accompanied with an adult to ride on the trails. There is also a 10 MPH speed limit on all ATV trails.
Before riding the Four Seasons will ask that you have a noise muffler in place as the decibel limit for the area is 94 maximum. A baby's average cry is about 100 decibels to give you an idea of how loud that is. You will also have to show proof of insurance and you must wear your DOT approved helmet when riding your ATV at all times. You will be asked to purchase a $25 yearly permit or $10 permit per bike per continuous stay, good up to two weeks and all riders must sign a waiver before riding. Additionally, you must be a guest of the resort.
If you follow these rules that are mostly just plain old common sense, you're going to have a great time riding your ATV at the Four Seasons Resort!
