If you're an avid ATVer and hunter, you're well aware how much a deer can weigh. When it comes time to claim your game you want to do it the safest way possible that also lets your trophy sized deer stay looking good so you can arrive with a pristine rack on your game.
ATVs have become so important in hunting, many states will only allow you to claim large game when you are hunting on an ATV. Some people simply tie a rope and drag their game in, but be aware your prize will probably arrive bald. If you were hunting simply to have deer to process, this aspect of hauling your game probably won't bother you one bit.
If you want a better way to transport your deer on an ATV, simply field dress the game and then load onto a rack on your ATV. Your ATV is a workhorse and built tough and made to last, however do not load your ATV beyond its capacity. It will take two you usually to get your game onto your ATV, make sure someone will be available to help you unload it when you get to your campsite or trailhead.
Also, the handling of your ATV will be different when you are carrying a load. Climb and descend hills and inclines with extreme caution and never go it alone. Make sure another rider is with you especially when you're carrying game.
Deer hunting can be a challenging sport and your ATV can save you a lot of legwork when going to the hunting site as well as when it is time to bring your game back to camp. Before trying to haul game, inspect your ATV before going hunting to insure your ATV is equipped to handle hauling game.
