Located north of Challis along Highway 50 in Central Idaho, the Williams Creek Snowmobile Trails are home to a vast array of enchanting snowmobile adventure that snowmobiling enthusiasts of all varieties are sure to have fun riding on. Open from December through March, the Williams Creek Snowmobile Trails offer a very fulfilling and scenic riverside riding experience that is very fun and unique. As you ride through the trails on your snowmobile you will end up in an abandoned ghost town called Leesburg. Leesburg is a very interesting place, as it perfectly showcases the way of life many years ago and it offers an educational and interesting experience that many other trails lack.
It is very important that you play it safe and follow all of the safety rules while riding on the trails. Remember to always wear your helmet, goggles, chest protections and other essential snowmobiling safety attire. Also, it is a good idea to try not to ride your snowmobile alone if possible in case an emergency occurs.
If for some reason you have to ride alone, make sure people know where you are in case something bad happens. A portion of the trails in the area are groomed and great for beginning snowmobile riders, but some of them are harsher and only experienced snowmobile riders should ride on them. Please do not try to ride on terrain you are not ready for. There are some types of trails that are simply not made for beginners. Use your head when you pick a trail to ride on, because riding your snowmobile in an area that you are simply not ready for could cause a very bad accident or other negative occurrence.
