Possibly most well known to the general American public as the source of great potatoes, Idaho is also known worldwide as one of the best places to go ATVing and Snowmobiling. With literally millions of acres worth of ATV trails, it is pretty easy to see why the state is so popular among ATV and general outdoor and nature enthusiasts.
Not only does Idaho offer a huge amount of land ripe for your ATV enjoyment, but it is also home to many towns and villages that are extremely hospitable and friendly. You will be sure to find excellent lodging while you are done ATVing in the area, and there are great restaurants, shopping centers and ATV shops located throughout the state as well. Though ATVing is extremely popular in the state, the overwhelming amount of land means that most trails will still be somewhat deserted, allowing for a more private and personal ride.
Some of the best ATV trails in Idaho are located in the Sawtooth National Park. This park is home to an extremely vast array of wild forestland that provides a moderate to easy ride. For those who are more interested in riding their ATV in some thick sand dunes, the St. Anthony Sand Dunes are by far the best in the state. And if you are an experienced rider more inclined to a tough and rugged challenging mountain experience, then the Hell's Canyon Recreation area is probably more up your alley. From rocky canyon and mountain trails to muddy forests and sandy dunes, Idaho is a vast and diverse land that has something that will please just about every ATV enthusiast.
