New Jersey was one of the original 13 U.S. Colonies and is full of history, great land, fabulous people, and excellent ATV trails. Home to a large variety of land, New Jersey has both very hilly areas and thick flat forests, as well as beautiful coastal views and beaches. When you ride your ATV in New Jersey you will have access to trails that explore each of these different kinds of terrain, though if you would like access to the trails near the coast you should certainly come to the state during the summer, as those trails are very seasonal, more-so than the other trails that may stay upon until snowfall, the beach trails normally close after summer. Many of the ATV trails in New Jersey charge a fee, and some require yearly memberships, though there are many free and inexpensive ATV opportunities in the state as well.
Like the majority of states, New Jersey has some regulations and rules that you must follow while riding an ATV in the state. In order to ride your ATV in New Jersey, you must have your ATV registered with the state's Motor Vehicle Registration Agency. This will likely require a small fee that varies county to county, but it is normally rather inexpensive. Another thing that is required by the state is that you must wear a proper safety helmet while you ride. It is also mandatory that you put 16 square inches of reflective material on each side of your ATV. Have a great time riding your ATV in New Jersey.
