Spring weather will soon be in full swing and you're ready to take your ATV out of the garage and get some riding time in. Colorado has a huge amount of great riding available for ATVers and Radical Hill is another fun destination to add to the list of fun places to go.
This is a rocky and rough ATV trail. Definitely not for beginners, only the long time experienced ATVers get to have all the fun on the challenging mountain pass.
Be aware when riding this trail system that the rocks and twisting trails aren't the only things to keep an out for. The weather here is very changeable and can go from warm sunshine in the morning and great ATVing weather to running away from an impromptu hail storm. Lightning is a big possibility during storms and remember lightning is attracted to the tallest object, if you're riding a flat land in the open, that would be you. Pull way over to the side of the trail and get as low to the ground as you can. Never try to take shelter under the trees. If you see a storm approaching, don't push your luck and take cover. The storms here tend to pass quickly.
Stay on the trails when you ride Radical Hill. The non-marked trails have not been fully mapped and there are drop-offs. Stick to the mapped areas and you are sure to have a great time riding your ATV at Radical Hill.
