Patton ATV Trail is a lot of fun and is an easy ride. If you have new or inexperienced ATV riders in your group, this is a great area for new riders to learn the basics of safe trail riding. The trailhead area has plentiful parking, pit toilet facilities and you can get the most current map of the ATV trails. Make a note, that the facilities located here, are the only ones for miles around!
This ATV Trail system is actually a network of several trails that all lead to the valley below and most inter-connect to one another. Your likelihood of running into other ATVers doing a loop around using the Patton ATV trail is great.
This area is scenic and you will enjoy the view both on your way down to the valley as well as on the trip back. There is abundance wildlife and many of these trails also double as sheep herding trails. If you encounter a herd of sheep passing by, pull your ATV over to the side of the trail and kill your engine until the sheep pass.
The trails are clearly marked and easy to follow. Also, the trails have a good amount of loose shell. Be sure to wear goggles along with your other safety gear as a piece of shell can get kicked up fairly easily by another rider's tires and it is much better for a piece of debris to bounce off your goggles rather than land in your eyes!
The easy flat design of this trail system makes this a super ride for newer ATVers and a great day of ATVing for everyone else!
