This is a fun place to bring your ATV or motorcycle in Florida. This area was established in 1973 for people to have a designated place to ride their favorite fun machines that was not part of the Florida Wetlands and this is still the only designated state managed property solely designated for motorcycle and ATVers.
There are nearly 2,600 acres for you to ride your ATV and motorcycle on and the trails are marked with their skill level necessary for riding. The trails themselves range in difficulty from the very easy to the very challenging.
As of July 1, 2005 annual permits are required for each motorcycle and ATV using the Croom Motorcycle Area. The annual permits are good for riding your ATV the entire year (July through the following June). Additionally, riders without valid riding permits will no longer be allowed to ride the Croom Area. The fees for these permits are directed towards the upkeep and management of the trail system and riding areas.
If you want to make a long weekend of riding your ATV or motorcycle at the Croom Area, there is overnight camping available at the Croom Motorcycle Area Campground. There is a nominal fee for camping, but there are electrical hookups and full restroom facilities.
If you're looking for a new riding challenge or you just want a great ATVing vacation with your family, check out Croom ATV and Motorcycle Riding Area and have a great time exploring this fun destination!
