Isabel Lake has a pretty name for a 4-wheeler trail but don't let that pretty name fool you. This can be a very challenging ride in many places. 4-wheeler riders with some experience navigating more difficult terrain will enjoy this area. If you are inexperienced at riding your 4-wheeler, this may not be the trail system for you. If you have intermediate or better 4-wheeling skills make sure you have someone with even more experience along for the ride with you as there are a lot of difficult navigations throughout these 4-wheeler trails, but the challenge is what makes the ride fun! Just always be honest with yourself and never attempt a trail you know you honestly don't have the skills for. That 4-wheeler trail will be there when you have the necessary skills and experience to conquer it!
These trails were once mine access roads and there are a number of abandoned mines in the area. As you're probably aware, old mines are usually great spots for taking photos when they have a lot of lush overgrowth. But never enter an old mine. There are many dangers including unstable structures and pockets of gas that can be lethal. As far as the trails themselves go, there are a lot of rock hills to climb, if you love to feel the grip of your 4-wheeler's tires as they pull you over the rocks, you're going to love these 4-wheeler trails!
There are a couple of streams that cross the trail and be aware they have fairly steep inclines, if you haven't handled steep inclines before, on the trail is not the time to learn. Always err on the side of safety; riding your 4-wheeler should always be a fun experience.
This will be a challenging ride for you and your 4-wheeler to tackle and if you have the skills it will be a great ride.
