Located in the South Central Region of Colorado and part of the San Isabel National Forest is a great place to ride your 4-wheeler.
No matter if you are completely new to 4-wheeler riding or an old seasoned pro, you will love riding the road at North Fork on your 4-wheeler. The riding season is May through October and you will find this 4-wheeler road is inhabited by other 4-wheeler riders and gets heavy traffic from not only four-wheelers, but also horse back riders, motorcyclists, and mountain bikers.
This 4-wheeler road is on the small side at only 2.2 miles and only climbs to an elevation of 450 feet so it is a very easy place for people who are new to riding 4-wheelers to get educated on proper handling of the 4-wheelers without to much challenging terrain around.
The 4-wheeler ride is merely a very gradually upward sloping climb into an open alpine forested valley, this is a great time to learn not only about handling your 4-wheeler properly out on the trail, it is also a great time to put all the standards you've heard from Treadlightly into action.
As you ride your 4-wheeler through you will see willows bordering the meadows, an abundance wildlife - especially if you are riding your 4-wheeler in the early morning or early evening hours. In the spring and early summer months you are sure to see a carpet of wild flowers blooming along your 4-wheeler road path. There are not loop arounds on this short 4-wheeler road but there is ample room for a turn around at the end. If you're new to riding or you just want an easy afternoon riding your 4-wheeler with some good scenery, check out North Fork Clear Creek 4-Wheel-Drive Road.
