Irish and Taylor Campground Area is an awesome 4-wheeler ride. There is a campground that allows you to stay for 2 weeks and you may need all that time to explore this area on your 4-wheeler. There is no fee for camping and that's always the right price!
The campground offers 4-wheeler trails right into Three Sisters Wilderness and it is rough terrain. As with many Oregon 4-wheeler trails it is alternately very rocky and steep and then flat with loose soil. These are not 4-wheeler trails for the inexperienced 4-wheeler rider.
These 4-wheeler trails are very narrow and are purposely maintained that way to retain the natural look of the trails. You will need to keep your 4-wheeler to the right and ride only in a single file. In this dense foliage, it is an excellent idea to have your GPS with you.
The National Forest Service manages these lands and they will require that you wear your DOT approved helmet, gloves and goggles on the trails. Don't leave the trails, The Forest Service has very strict rules about making your own trails, don't do it - trailblazing is against the law and you'll get a hefty fine to remind you not to do it again. There is plenty to see on your 4-wheeler in this area.
These 4-wheeler trails are open June through October, be sure and call and if you're up for it, you and your 4-wheeler are in for a most challenging ride.
