When taking a motocross bike training class in California. Here's what you can expect in these "hands on" types of classes:
Beginners will learn how to do pre-ride inspection. Most classes go over skill lessons in clutch control, braking, shifting, tight turns, riding over obstacles and other basic motocross skills. Even an experienced rider can pick up a few pointers in these classes.
Some riding classes can provide a bike to you to learn on in class. If you've wanted to learn how to handle a motocross bike before you make your first purchase of one, these schools are a good option.
Standard riding attire is a must. Remember, most California motocross training classes are hands-on, so you're going to get a little dirty! You will need to wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket, boots that cover your ankles, heavy jeans or even better motocross riding pants. Helmet, goggles, and gloves are a must. Motocross bike riders in California must wear DOT approved helmets, it's the law.
Remember, the more knowledge you have on how your motocross bike works, how to do basic safety checks, and developing safe riding skills, the better of a time you will have on your motocross bike!
