If you have mastered the 4-wheeler trails that are rated "easy" and you want a little more of a challenge, check out the Long Hollow Motorized Trail. If you have good basic 4-wheeler riding skills, you will thoroughly enjoy this trail system on your 4-wheeler.
Although this 4-wheeler trail is short at only a little over 5-miles in length and it isn't steep as it only climbs to about 400-feet in elevation; it is one fun ride. You will be sharing this trail with other 4-wheeler riders, hikers, motorcyclists, mountain bikers, and snowmobile riders from winter through the spring. Be aware of the other types of traffic you might be encountering.
If you have never had the chance to ride your 4-wheeler in snowy conditions before, this is a great place to learn. The 4-wheeler trails are not too steep and make sure you have someone experienced in navigating on this type of terrain to show you the ropes for rolling your 4-wheeler through snow, as you need to handle it differently from regular hard pack terrain. You'll learn even more handling skills and gain new confidence in your 4-wheeler maneuvering abilities.
The 4-wheeler trail is a winding trail that joins with several other trails in the area. If you decide at about the halfway point you want to go back, there is a loop around at the Trout Creek intersection that will allow you to go back to the trailhead of Long Hollow. These trails are very narrow and turning around your 4-wheeler won't be an option in many areas, use the loop arounds to go back.
Long Hollow is a fun 4-wheeler riding destination if you're looking for a little more challenge in your next 4-wheeler ride!
