Colorado has a fun ride just waiting for you to explore on your 4-wheeler at Red Tables Road.
The 4-wheeler trail lasts for about 17 miles with an elevation of 3410 feet. It is in the northwest part of the state in Eagle county, with the location being in White River National Forest. As with all National Forest managed lands you need to make sure that your spark arrestor and muffler are installed on your 4-wheeler prior to riding. The ranger's station will do an inspection and issue you a riding permit that must be plainly visible at all times on your 4-wheeler.
This 4-wheeler trail system is rated easy so even if you are a beginning 4-wheeler rider you can enjoy these trails and learn valuable maneuvering skills on your 4-wheeler. There are some very dense forested areas to ride through and at the top of the ridge is an outstanding 360 degree view. Bring your camera along for this ride.
Remember to always check the weather, and have a radio with you at all times. The climate can change very fast on these mountains, and the 4-wheeler trails, can become slick and very muddy. If you have never driven your 4-wheeler in these conditions, make sure you have an experienced 4-wheeler rider along on the ride to give you the tips and tricks for safe navigation.
Red Tables Road is a great short ride for a 4-wheeler group that loves it rough and rugged.
