Summer is here in full swing and if you're ready for a challenging ride Colorado is full of fun riding opportunities. Radical Hill is another fun destination to add to the list of fun places to ride your 4-wheeler.
This is a rocky and rough 4-wheeler trail. Definitely not for beginners but not so hard that only the long time experienced 4-wheelers get to have all the fun on the challenging mountain pass. If you can ride intermediate trails, you should have the navigation skills to master this trail.
Be aware when riding this 4-wheeler trail system that the rocks and twisting trails aren't the only things to keep an eye out for. The weather here is very fickle and can go from warm sunshine in the morning and great 4-wheeler riding weather to running away from an impromptu hail storm.
Lightning is a big possibility during storms and remember lightning is attracted to the tallest object, if you're riding a flat land in the open, that would be you. Pull way over to the side of the trail and get as low to the ground as you can. Never try to take shelter under the trees. If you see a storm approaching, don't push your luck-just take cover. The storms here tend to pass quickly.
Stay on the trails when you ride Radical Hill. The non-marked trails have not been fully mapped and there are drop-offs. Stick to the mapped areas and you are sure to have a great time riding your 4-wheeler at Radical Hill.
