Shifting is difficult for many kids to get the hang of at first, so it is a good idea to get an automatic 4-wheeler for your kid to learn to ride, so they don't have bother with shifting gears when they're just starting out riding their 4-wheelers.
4-wheeler safety classes are fantastic for kids to get a jump start on riding their 4-wheelers. As every parent knows, your kids will take advice from someone they don't even know and ignore their parent saying the same thing. Sign your child up for an 4-wheeler safety-riding course. They will learn safe maneuvering and safety tips for every type of riding. Additionally, they will receive a certificate of completion they will need to show when riding on most federally managed lands (like State and National Forests).
