Are you in the market for great 4-wheeler riding in Colorado? Ten Mile Park is located in the northwestern corner of Colorado and is a trail system that is rated as easy to intermediate. The riding season for this trail system is relatively short from June thru November, but is a fun and scenic 4-wheeler ride.
This 4-wheeler trail runs through the White River National Forest and measures in at just over eight miles in length. The elevation of this trail is at 10,500 feet and an unusual feature of this 4-wheeler trail are the winds you will encounter; there is almost always a strong wind blowing in this area.
Ten Mile Park trail is well marked and gets a good amount of traffic during the riding season as it is such an easily accessible trail and rated so easy to ride. You will be sharing this trail with other 4-wheelers, mountain bikers and motorcyclists, be aware of the other traffic and in fact most of this trail is one way only.
This is a very easy 4-wheeler trail to access. It is located just outside of Sam's Spring off FDR 619. Once you are on FDR 619, the way to the riding area is clearly marked. At the trailhead, this 4-wheeler trail is very easy. However the longer you ride this trail, the more difficult it will get. There are certain areas that will require a good technical knowledge of your 4-wheeler, but nothing too steep that someone with intermediate level riding skills can't handle.
