Currently, the club is participating with the American Sand Association to regain the right to ride in areas that have temporarily been designated off limits. A local plant known as Pierson's Milk Vetch was believed to be endangered, leading to it's listing a threatened species. However, a scientific survey is underway to determine if this is really the case and if the affected sand 4-wheeler trails may safely be reopened.
