Riding a 4-wheeler is a fun and thrilling experience but it can also be a unsafe for anyone who thinks they do not need to wear a helmet. In fact, some people don't understand what all the fuss is about as they just ride their 4-wheelers around their own property and they've never had an accident. They couldn't be more mistaken.
4-wheelers are just like any other vehicle, and it's important that you are
responsible when you ride it and wearing your helmet when doing so is crucial. If you get into a bad accident, your helmet could prevent you from suffering serious head injuries or even death. Look for helmets with a label from the Department of Transportation
(DOT), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), or the Snell Memorial Foundation to verify that the helmet has been tested and approved for safety. It's important that the helmet must also be able to resist a blow from a blunt object, stay in place, and provide a certain amount of peripheral (side) vision.
