The San Isabel National Forest in South Central Colorado has a great place to ride your 4-wheeler called Indian Creek. The trail is 15-miles long and is rated easy so the people in your group that are new to 4-wheeler riding don't have to pass time at the trailhead going in circles while everyone else rides the difficult 4-wheeler trails. This is a trail system that all 4-wheeler riders can enjoy. This is also a great place to camp at the designated points around the area and make a whole weekend out of riding your 4-wheelers with your friends.
This is fun 4-wheeler ride for everyone because it is never truly a flat trail. It gently rolls up and down so new riders get good practice taking their 4-wheelers up and down gentle inclines. There is a great view from every point on the trail and if you are riding in the early morning or late afternoon hours you will see a lot of deer in the area. If it is breeding season, steer clear of the bucks as they can get aggressive during that time.
At this 4-wheeler trail, newer 4-wheelerers can learn to trail ride. A good rule of thumb is to wait until the rider behind you catches up so no one gets left behind. Also never follow the 4-wheelerer in front of you too closely or you may wind up smacking your riding partner's 4-wheeler. Getting the chances to navigate your 4-wheeler on actual trails is great experience for newer 4-wheelerers. In addition to picking up some new riding skills, new riders will also learn how to properly share the trails. These is a multi-use 4-wheeler trail so be aware you will be sharing this trail during the riding season of May 15 through November 15 with all kinds of traffic from other 4-wheeler riders to hikers to motorcycle and mountain bikers.
