White Mountain Open Trails Association is dedicated to protecting the lands as well as areas to ride within the State of Arizona. It is their goal to not only improve the trails that 4-wheeler enthusiasts enjoy riding but to spread the word on good riding habits and keeping trails maintained.
The Navajo County ATV Roughriders Club is a prominent member of the White Mountain Open Trails family. This club is currently working to expand it's membership in hope of developing a 4-wheeler park in their area. This 4-wheeler club also teaches trail etiquette to ensure that any 4-wheeler rider associated with their group always represents the group as a whole in a good light. Issues such as trash and trespassing on private lands are covered.
The club is also working hard to keep the lines of communication open between state legislators, private land owners, and 4-wheeling enthusiasts in an effort to promote a positive relationship that should help preserve the privelege of off-road riding. The Navajo County ATV Roughriders also organize volunteer projects to help clear and maintain trails, including brush and fallen tree removals, keeping the trails open for all 4-wheeler riders in the area. Currently, the club is preparing to take registrations for the 2007 Arizona ATV Outlaw Trail Jamboree. The first three years of this ATV event have been a resounding success and 2007 should be even better.
If you want to be part of a proactive club in the State of Arizona that is dedicated to education and preservation; this may be the group for you.
