The South Utah AraPeen 4-wheeler Trail System is located in south Utah in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The South Utah AraPeen Trail contains over 350 miles of 4-wheeler and 4X4 routes, with the high point of the system being the scenic 58 mile South Skyline Drive which is a super rugged 4X4 experience that goes from Utah Highway 31 on the north side to the Fishlake National Forest boundary on the south side.
Access to the eastern side of the South Utah AraPeen 4-wheeler Trail runs from the communities of Ferron and Castle Dale, both of which are located right off of Utah Highway 10. Major entry points include 4X4 route #7 and 4-wheeler route #62 from Ferron Canyon, and 4-wheeler route #5 just west of Joes Valley Reservoir also located in Ferron Canyon. Entry to the western side of the South Utah AraPeen 4-wheeler Trail is granted from US Highway 89 and Sanpete Valley. Key access points include the 4-wheeler route #3 in Manti Canyon, the 4X4 route #4 in Spring City Canyon, and 4-wheeler route #2 in Twelve Mile Canyon, which is just east of Mayfield.
Routes on the South Utah AraPeen 4-wheeler Trail include sections that are passable only by 4-wheelers, along with some other sections where 4-wheelers share the usage of the forest roads. These 4-wheeler routes are shared by hikers, mountain bikes and horses, so be sure to be aware of the possibility of encountering other types of weekend warriors while riding. The South Utah AraPeen 4-wheeler Trail also includes some areas passable only by high clearance four wheel drives along with other areas that may be graveled or graded roads shared that are shared with standard passenger cars.
All travel on the South Utah AraPeen 4-wheeler Trail is restricted to designated roads and trails. There's a lot of fun to be had on this trail system with your 4-wheeler.
