The Apache County ATV Riders Club was formed just over three years ago, but already they are a force on the ATV scene in Arizona. This rapidly growing ATV club organized it's first major event in its first year called The First Annual Outlaw Jamboree. This fantastically successful ATV riding event took riders on a tour of the scenic white Mountain region of eastern Arizona and was so popular the event was again made available every year thereafter.
Combining a love of the ATV sport with a sense of civic duty, the Apache County ATV Riders were able to raise over $2400 from this year's Jamboree to help the unfortunate victims of Hurricane Katrina. Approximately $1400 was donated to the Navapache Regional Hospital to help finance a medical team's trip to Mississippi to help hurricane victims, while the other $1000 raised by these wonderful ATV enthusiasts was donated directly to the Salvation Army's relief efforts.
The Apache County ATV Riders are also very concerned with preserving the pristine environment of Arizona's ATV trails, and adhere to the conservation and safety concepts put forth by Treadlightly.Org, a society dedicated to keeping the environment clean and safe for all wildlife as well as the ATV enthusiasts who want to keep on enjoying the sport.
